In addition to his college and university education in the United States and England, Richard has an extensive, practical, and results-oriented leadership capabilities. He received from his United States global corporate employer in 2019 and 2020 the Top 5% in Global Revenue - Global Performance Recognition, and this year, the 2025 Top Performer Global Recognition. At his former British global corporate employer, and as former Head of Employee Volunteering for Gambia 2010-2012, Richard worked across business units, organized employees nationwide, and led the country to become the winner of the Global Employee Volunteering Recognition in 2011 - according to the bank's global Head of CB Governance and Business Planning. Countries from different parts of the world participated, including, Nigeria, the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, South Africa, South Korea, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom. As a very young parishioner, deputy chairman, and youth coordinator of the largest parish, St. Therese in Gambia between 2001 and 2003, he accepted the challenge to organize the largest parish feast in the country, recommending the invitation of some of the best business executives (parishioners) working for government and the private sector to be part of the subcommittees, a foundation that successive parish councils built on. Richard was also a member of the Diocesan Youth Committee and the National Ordination Committee. In 1997, he founded the Christian Community of Latrikunda (CCLK Gambia), and led the organization to raising funds and providing scholarship grants to over 300 young Gambians, establishing and operating schools, training and mentoring young leaders, and managing donor relationships and international collaboration with counterparts in Senegal, Spain, and Holland.
